Vivien Saunders (former British Women's Open Champion, Curtis Cup player, Commonwealth team player, first non-American to play on the LPGA and founder of the women's Pro tour in Britain/Europe) came to give the team the benefit of her wealth of experience about 'The Golfing Mind'. She was welcomed by our President Angela Dawson (who had persuaded Viv to come along!)

The morning was spent in the classroom and three hours sped by with the team trying to soak up in one day what would normally take three! Vivien put across her lectures in a light-hearted entertaining way, without anyone realising they were learning about golf psychology!

Out into the cold for the afternoon session where time was spent on the practice ground. Vivien instructed the team on 'CONSTRUCTIVE PRACTICE' on the Short Game and Putting Drills, during which even the sun managed to make a short appearance and Val Barker 'snook' around taking official photos!

Finally, everyone headed back to the classroom for a short session on the long game to end the day. There was huge applause for Vivien and the Vote of Thanks was given by Juniors Captain, Hannah McLoughlin.

The Team left inspired and resolved to put into practice the information gained from such a wonderful and knowledgeable lady.
