Ryan Wallace in his first game as captain and partner Sam Teather regretted a slow start, falling behind early. The final score of 2/1 down demonstrated that they held on well, running out of holes in the end. It was a similar story for Nathan Ray and Michael Pell. Michael had still not recovered from a stomach bug, they lost 3/1.

The best results came form George Allen and partner Robert Owens, and Adam Lumley and partner George Butler, who won 2/1. Ben Stokes and partner Jack Ronan looked like winning, but they were hit by a strong Notts finish to half their match.

Two boys drafted in to fill the last two places, Kaljit Madahar and Rhys Lawrence won their match 1 up, to give Warwickshire a slender lead for the singles.

The singles were very close all afternoon and ended up siz matches all.

Ryan Wallace came up against the unstoppable Luke Jackson (a Welsh International), but Nathan had a good win to even things up. This was the story as the matches finished with one for Warwickshire and one for Notts.

The other Warwickshire winners were Sam Teather,George Allen,Ben Stokes,Adam Lumley and George Butler.

I would especially like to thank the boys who came in at short notice, Kaljit Madahar, Rhys Lawrence and George Butler
