That did not put either off making birdies (7 in the morning round) with Danyaal going to lunch 1up.
The match turned on the 5th and 6th, two of Edbgaston's toughest holes which Jamie played beautifully both eighteens.
Jamie made a two and a three in the morning against the par of three and four, the latter birdie made from the middle of the adjoining 4th fairway. In the afternoon his three then four was good enough to take him into the lead.
By the 33rd it was back to all square before Danyaal three-putted that hole and then could not match Jamie's laser like tee shot at the short 34th for a two putt birdie and that dormie lead.
Both parred the 35th to give Walmley's come-back junior that first win -
'I was off 6 at age 14 and playing in the U14s', said Jamie, 'Then I tore my cartilage playing rugby - I had to give it up (rugby that is)!'
'Its been a good year already - I lost to Michael McCormack in our Club Championship - in a three hole play-off.'
With tow impressive 70s in the Junior Championship itself, Jamie is now one good round from a three handicap .
