Joyce Nichol Trophies 2003
Summer came to an abrupt end at the Joyce Nichol Trophies held at Stratford Oaks Golf Club today with strong winds and very heavy rain from time to time during the day, forcing many of the 61 competitors to give up before the end. Pictured Pat Hale - winner Best gross

Despite the conditions, several excellent scores were posted and Linda McLoughlin retained the Silver Division Trophy with a nett 70 playing on her home course. Emma Stodart, Rugby, was runner-up with a nett 72 which included the only two of the day which meant that she went away with all the balls from the twos competition. She rounded off her round played in the worst weather conditions with an eagle on the final hole, a par five. Eleanor Walford, Copt Heath came third with a nett 74. Pat Hale, Warwickshire Vice Captain, won the Gross Prize with a gross 79. In the Bronze Division, Christine Sutcliffe, The Warwickshire, won with a nett 73. Heather Hill, Copt Heath was second on the back nine from Pat Wolodhouse in third place, both on nett 77.
