| In celebration of your supporting this addition to our constitution it gives me great pleasure to announce a lady in this room as an honorary member of the WLCGA. The definition of this has been agreed as: a person intrinsically linked to Warwickshire who has made substantial contribution both as a player and administrator within the County or who has achieved major success at international levels or beyond which reflects upon our County .
Over the years this lady has made an enormous contribution to the game of golf. She excelled as a junior playing through the club ranks and rapidly making her name at County level. But it didn t stop there. This lady has represented her Country as both player by winning the English Championship amongst many other titles, and latterly by Captaining the European Senior Ladies for 3 years running - leading them to victory for 2 out of those 3 years.
Not satisfied with her own personal success this lady has spent recent years bringing on and encouraging junior golfers using her wealth of experience and infectious enthusiasm for the sport. Her influence has been enormous.
As a fellow member of Coventry GC it falls to me make the announcement that this lady is Pam Large and I feel truly honoured to do so.
