| This Championship has a great pedigree of producing Champions who have gone on to major successes both as an amateur and as a professional. Just three years ago, this was the first Championship Jak Hamblett won and just the following year he became the north of England U16s Champion and thus joined the EGU Coaching squads.
In 2002 it was the turn of Andy Sullivan who went on to reach a Scratch handicap at just 15 years of age. There have been girl winners and of course the four time European Tour winner Paul Broadhurst. Age group prizes are numerous so it is an event where some gain competitive experience whilst others prepare for bigger things by adding this title to their CV.
Entry detail will be available approximately a month before the Championship and it will count for the 2004 JoM.
