Maxfli introduces Revolution EXT Golf Ball with SpeedMantle Technology
In 1997 Maxfli Golf launched one of its most successful ever products - the ‘Revolution’ ball. Seven years later, Maxfli is pleased to announce a ‘21st Century Revolution’ - their new Revolution EXT golf ball. The Revolution EXT is a multi-layer, three-piece golf ball whose soft feel and exceptional distance is keyed by Maxfli s new SpeedMantle technology. The Revolution EXT s SpeedMantle is a thin layer, or mantle, sandwiched between the Surlyn®-blend cover and the core.

SpeedMantle technology increases the speed at which the ball leaves the clubface, making the EXT both faster and longer. In addition, SpeedMantle technology helps to deliver a high launch angle and low spin-rate off the driver, optimizing distance, while at the same time providing soft feel and high spin with the short-irons.

The Revolution EXT s core measures 1.48" in diameter and is made of polybutadiene, a soft rubber that is extremely resilient. Maxfli employs an advanced rubber system that s more difficult to process than other rubbers, but which offers the benefit of increased velocity, meaning that the EXT s core consists of the fastest rubber system that Maxfli can use.

The Revolution EXT s cover is a Surlyn® blend that delivers outstanding feel, but not at the expense of durability. It measures 50 thousandths of an inch thick and has a hardness (shore-D) of 60. This degree of hardness makes the cover extremely versatile in that it offers an excellent combination of feel, spin rate and shear resistance.

Also critical to the EXT s performance is its wind-resistant 442-dimple pattern, which is engineered to make this ball carry a long way for added distance. While the EXT s core and mantle are key to its initial launch and spin characteristics, it is the dimple pattern that allows the EXT to stay in the air without ballooning and to resist the affects of wind.

"The Revolution EXT delivers exceptional performance to all players," says Dean Snell, Senior Director of Research and Development. "This ball was designed from the outside-in, from the cover to the core, and because of that the outer elements - the cover and SpeedMantle - are what deliver the EXT s exceptional speed and distance. That allows players with even average and below-average swing speeds to activate the ball s distance-producing SpeedMantle, and to reap outstanding gains in yardage off the driver and increased spin off the irons. That is in contrast to most other performance balls, in which the player has to compress the ball all the way to the core to receive the speed and distance benefits."

The Revolution EXT is now available at retail with a manufacturer s suggested retail price of £25 / €35 per dozen. The EXT offers superior performance at a superior value.
