| A maximum of 64 team can enter and this year there are 59 teams playing, two from most clubs with a few just deciding to enter an A team. Last year, for the first time in decades, the A and B teams from a singel club reached the final - Coventry Hearsall. Played in terrible weather conditions, the golf was still of a high standard as Sam Foster and James Bromley won the Bainbridge for their club.
The format is scratch foursomes.
To win requires up to 6 victories, and to play both home and away although the draw is completely random so some clubs have reached the final without venturing to other clubs. In 2002, the Bainbridge was won by David Hayes and Carl Kirby from Coventry Finham, with some outstanding golf in the final when they were many shots under par. A full report of that final is in this site (Warwickshire Men - Championships - Bainbridge) as is the last green triumph of Purley Chase in 2001.
This draw will be updated on a regular basis although all clubs are reminded that play by dates should be respected.
