Forget Michelle Wie - here is Carly Booth
Carly Booth, an 11-year-old schoolgirl from Perthshire in Scotland, will take another big step towards golfing stardom when she plays in The Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters PRO-AM alongside a host of celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment at the Marriott Forest of Arden this week (Wednesday 5 May). She will be following the footsteps of the likes of Darren Clarke around the Arden Course, a full preview of which is available later in this feature.

Carly, who already plays off a handicap of four and is champion at three Scottish clubs, has already represented Scotland at the age of 11, beating teenage golf sensation Michelle Wie by three years in representing her country.

Carly will tee off with fellow Scot Sandy Lyle, among a field of other celebrities including football legends Gary Lineker and Kenny Dalgliesh, ex Arsenal star Alan Smith, horse racing's perennial Champion Jump Jockey AP McCoy, and fellow top jockeys Mick Fitzgerald and Kieran Fallon as well as pop legend Ronan Keating and entertainment's Jimmy Tarbuck.

Throughout her 6 years as a golfer, Carly has been strongly supported by a family that boasts an outstanding sporting pedigree including national representation across several sports. Added to this, Carly's dad has been building the family's private course, which boasts 14 holes and a variety of lochs, islands and waterfalls - a course which Wallace, Carly's father, spends three hours each night tending to.
