| Ladbrook is a very beautiful course, with a finish to find out any weaknesses. Expect a number of low scores though as Warwickshire have some of the most talented Amateurs in England, notably Matt Cryer and Chris Evans - you can include in any list Ben Stafford, all our guys who are at Colleges in the US, some of our very talented Juniors, the very substantial talents from home club Ladbrook .... any of these players could win and there are plenty of others who have been working very hard through the winter.
David Fletcher will not be playing though, as he prepares for new work in Spain. There are players in the 2nd team who have the talent to win or could it be a special championship win for our Seniors Champion John Madden, or for Graham Hargreaves or Peter Holt. In addition to the Amateur trophy, there is also a Nett Cup and Team Championship trophy, one of the largest of its kind and with that win goes a trip to the English Country team finals later in the year.
Play will start at am and there are a number of excellent viewing points across the course. There will be live scoring as well throughout the day so that if you cannot be there, you can see how your club members are getting on - for live scoring and a lunch time report, just come back to the home page.
