Tom Ibbertson in Abu Dhabi
The Final of the 2009 Daily Telegraph Junior Championship - Tom posted a score of 63 (7 under par, 5 under standard scratch) in the first round of the Coventry Hearsall Junior Club Championship to qualify in 6th place on the national leader board for the Abu Dhabi Junior Golf Championship sponsored by The Daily Telegraph.
Skakel's Schools
The 2009 Warwickshire Schools - Ingon Manor Golf & Country Club - Tuesday 14th April - For the past few years, the Schools has been dominated by those past County Junior age but still staying on to complete their education. 2009 saw the dawn of a new era, lead by younger players and their champion was Patrick Skakel from Solihull School.
Gnyla's Double over Martin
The 2009 Warwickshire Young Masters - Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club - Thursday 9th April. In the 'David vs Goliath' battle of handicaps, Stefan Gnyla once again mastered Max Martin in this annual season's opener to competative golf, an 18 hole event round the par 3 course at Stoneleigh to find the Warwickshire U12s and U8s Champion for 2009.
Francesca is U12s Champion
The 2009 Warwickshire Young Masters - Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club - Thursday 9th April. With an 18 hole score of 79 over Stoneleigh's top and tough par three course, Francesca Palsar beat her brother Joe to a first Warwickshire Championship, the Girls U12s.
