Top honours for Sue Westall at the Midland Veteran Ladies Golf Association Championship
Following her success on reaching the semifinals at the Warwickshire Ladies Championship Sue Westall took top honours at the Midland Veteran Ladies Golf Association Championship held on Thursday at the Wellingborough Golf Club in Northamptonshire.
England Girl wins major championship
England Under 15 Champion Florentyna Parker has become the first British girl to win at the world?s biggest junior tournament. The 14-year-old claimed her victory at the Doral-Publix Junior Classic in Miami, which attracts hundreds of youngsters from all over the world.
2002 English Ladies Stroke Play Championship
at Whittington Heath Golf Club - FINAL SCORES Sara Garbutt (Ganton) won the English Ladies Stroke Play Championship at Whittington Heath Golf Club with a 72 hole total of 294. Her third round 70 - 2 under par was the low round of the week, and she finished two shots ahead of Danielle Masters (Rochester & Cobham Park). Sara also won the Under 23 Championship and Danielle the Under 21. Under 18 Champion was Emma McBride (Upton by Chester) with a 72 hole total of 307.
