A 6 timer for Atkin
After losing the last two finals of the Warwickshire Ladies County Championships, sponsored by Rydale Cars, it was a first reaction of relief for the 2005 Champion Tracy Atkin. That soon changed to some pride at completing her sixth win of the most prestigious title in the WLCGA calendar and the all too evident happiness of her young son in what his mother had achieved.

Three former champions are through to the last four in the Warwickshire Ladies Championship being played at Edgbaston GC this week, sponsored by Rydale Cars.
YOUTH AND EXPERIENCE SHINE AT EDGBASTON
Youth and experience won the day during the 36 hole qualifying rounds of the Warwickshire Ladies Championship, sponsored by Rydale Cars at Edgbaston Golf Club today. Claire Dowling, defending champion fired a four under par 67 second round to add to her morning 75 to head the qualifiers by six strokes. 18 year old Felicity Johnson from Harborne took the second spot on the back 18 from Tracy Atkin (Leamington) with an aggregate of 148.
The County Championships 2005 – Qualifying 1st Round
In less than bright Spring like conditions, Warwickshire Ladies teed off as one of England’s most impressive fields for a County Championship. The ‘heights’ of Birmingham were though considerably dryer than many surrounding districts and towns and ahead lay 36 holes to qualify for the knockout stages of the County Championships and the winning of the Silver Division Cup.
