The friendly match against Leicestershire was held at Stonebridge GC on 19th September. Acting captain was Elizabeth MALLETT who lead the team off. There were some tight matches and the result was a draw, 6 matches each. Ellie BERWICK had a big win and won her colours on the day.

The Adults versus Girls match was held at Coventry Hearsall GC on Sunday 22nd August 2010. We had good conditions finishing well before torrential over-night rain. The match ended in our first ever tie, so following the Ryder Cup example, the Adults, as holders, retained the trophy for the year. Our thanks go to Hearsall G.C. for hosting this most enjoyable event.

The return match to decide the finalists for the Midlands South Scratch and Handicap League was played at Kings Norton on 17th August. Like the first round, the team had several missing due to other commitments and injury so it was a tough fixture.

The team faced the Derbyshire side in a friendly handicap fixture at Grassmoor GC, on 9th August 2010. Unfortunately both Hannah McLoughlin and Hannah-Pearl Wood had to retire hurt part the way through their matches. Both Charlotte Hartshorn and Molly Giles-Brown faced strong opposition both losing 3 & 2. Francesca Palser and Lucy Munro finished all square to much more experienced players. Jodie Chubb was the only winner of the day, gratefully receiving 12 shots from her opponent, to win comfortably 4&3.

On one of the hottest days so far this year the team faced Worcestershire & Herefordshire in the first Midlands South league match of the year. Copt Heath was the venue and the match was played on Sunday 23rd May. The exams season meant some of our most experienced players were unavailable, so how did the team fare?

Hannah Rice from Nuneaton GC added excitement to the afternoon at Walmley GC when she holed her Tee shot on the 108 yard, 5th hole. This is Walmley's signature hole, playing from an elevated tee over water, with out of bounds behind the green - well done Hannah. To top her day, in the evening, she was introduced to European Tour Professional, Paul Broadhurst!

This match against Staffordshire was held at Coventry GC on Sunday 9th May 2010. On this occasion the final result was very close, with Staffordshire coming out the victors by 4 matches to 3 in the scratch matches and 3 matches to 0 in the handicap matches.
