• This is my World

A special interview with Warwickshire?s Felicity Johnson at the Ladies English Open - Fresh from a level par 72, which unfortunately went a Day 1 score of 80, Fliss was (as ever) very welcoming when I asked her if she would sit down for half and hour and tell me all about how she was getting on, and what she thought of the news of reaching the County Finals

  • A new year, new career for Fliss

Today is the start of Fliss Johnson's first year as a Professional golfer. After a superb amateur career, capped by becoming English Champion in 2005, Fliss did the first hardest job (earning her tour card at Q School), now Fliss has the opportunity to do the second hardest job - keeping her card and placing as high on the OOM as she can. Before the season starts, there is lots of preparation - hours on the range and in the gym, sorting out sponsors, planning for each Tour event.

  • Missing out on the Cup

Two weeks ago it seemed Harborne?s star golfer Fliss Johnson was a certainty to play in the GB&I team to play America in the Curtis Cup from July 29-30. Now she learns she is not only out of the team but fourth reserve and very unlikely to be called on.

  • 2005 Review - Fliss's Journey

I witnessed some superb Ladies golf in 2005 - as Warwickshire Ladies continued their successes of the past four years in helping the sport achieve substantial recognition at every level - plus learnt of much news from its peripheries and outside the game. This feature is not a look back with the 'detail' which so many of your contributors have included in their end of year editorial. Its a look to the future as well as the past.

  • 'How it really feels' by Felicity Johnson, the 2005 English Champion!

In her own words, Fliss reflects on what was one of the best weeks of her life and how it feels to be the English Ladies Amateur Champion!

  • Felicity Johnson - Frankly very good

My first question is how it feels to be England Champion. Felicity sits forward in her chair on a really wet Saturday afternoon at Harborne Church Farm Golf Club, in the Members Lounge. She rarely stops smiling off the course and when playing, it would have to be a calamity of a 10 or more for her to look miserable, but scores like that don t happen any more. There was something close to double figures early on in the year, at the 2002 Warwickshire Schools.
