A final win for Captain Jenks
Midland League 2008 - M5 for the 1sts - Handsworth GC - Sunday 26th October - The arget was a minimum of a 12-3 win, if the Midland League title was to return to 'Bear Country' . That was always going to be difficult and our final opponents Derbyshire were in no mood to make lfie easy. That showed in the morning foursomes result.

Midland League 2008 - 1st vs Shropshire & Hereford - Copt Heath GC - Sunday 6th July - The old adage say that things come in threes, so a lost top then a pair of car keys (both by Warwickshire players), would have had the soothsayers rubbing the crystal, and rightly so ?
Its Leicestershire again!
2008 Mens County 6s Qualifier - Saturday 21st June 2008 - Chesterfield GC, Derbyshire - For the fourth time in the last seven years, Leicestershire will represent the Midlands in the English County Championship, this year to be held at Hollinwell GC, Notts. Warwickshire were closer this year at lunch, but then the Foxes 'machine' went into overdrive, whilst our challenge stalled.
FINAL MIDLAND LEAGUE MATCHES FOR 2007 - PREVIEW
Sunday 7th October - 1sts Home to Notts at Handsworth - 2nds away to Notts at Wollaton Park. Your Firsts team goes back to Handsworth for a second year, knowing that a big win will bring with it the Midland League Trophy. The Second travel to Wollaton, and whilst they cannot retain that league's trophy, a win is a must for our great rival's Worcestershire if they are to take that title.
COUNTY FINALS QUALIFYING 2007
Coventry Finham Golf Club - Saturday 24th June - Its rare that a team qualifies for the County Finals from any of the four regional competitions with an under par score. Only the winners go through each year, so this year when there were four teams all under par from their 12 round totals, it was some special golf played by all those four teams. Unfortunately Warwickshire were the third of those four teams and will not be going to Cleveland at the end of September.
Moving forward into 2007 - the first Team matches
Olton GC - Sunday 25th March 2007 - 1sts vs Northants - New County Captain Gareth Jenkins took the opportunity to try out a number of foursomes pairings in the annual first pre-season friendly against Northants as the singles series normally played in the afternoon was replaced by a second series of foursome matches.
