North Warks GC - Sunday 28th April - Now one of the most popular open events of its kind in our County, The County Membership Scheme started a knock-out 'third' event this Winter, giving the opportunity for the best teams from the Jack Urry Cup and the Vice Presidents' Bowl a chance to compete against each other for a superb new trophy.

176 Players attended the first County Membership Scheme event of 2013 held at Edgbaston Golf Club on Tuesday 16th April. Denise (my wife) and I set up registration at 07:30 hrs, to welcome competitors for the morning and then afternoon sessions, ready for a busy and very successful day!

There are though two competitions each year which are handicap fourball format - they are part of the County Membership Scheme, started in 1970 and open to everyone

The Jack Urry Cup 2012 (Formerly known as the County Membership Scheme Autumn Meeting. Using the new County Competitions web site (www.warwickshiregolf.com) for entry details and with all the past contacts I had with Club Representatives of the CMS the event had attracted 154 CMS members to play in the competition!

The Menzies Welcombe Golf Club - Tuesday 10th April (Formerly known as the Spring Meeting) - This was my first event as County Memberships Scheme Manager so I wanted to make it as good an experience as possible for all the competitors. That meant lots of hard work!
