Pictured is Sam Dodds, the Defending Champion, during on the rare times he was in trouble when winning last year - that is after a disaster of a front nine which was then followed by 'Dynamo' type magic for his next. Sam is again favourite but for many of our best players, 2013 form hasn't yet shown itself.

The fixtures for 2013 have now been confirmed and are on the www.warwickshiregolf.com website along with all National and Midland tournaments.

Sam Dodds (Pictured - Copyright Tom Ward 2012) became the fourth Warwickshire player to win the County Champions Tournament and the Presidents Bowl after a three-way tie over the Hotchkin Course at Woodhall Spa.

The 2012 Warwickshire Open - Ladbrook Park GC - Tuesday 12th September - With the Professionals having not taken The County Open for three years, they looked to have stopped our Amateurs' run of success when Jak Hamblett and Andy Jones (once a Ladbrook member) turned for their last nine holes seeming to be in control - but then came one final charge by Amateur and Matchplay Champion Sam Dodds.
