The 25th Peter McEvoy Trophy
Copt Heath GC, 13th and 14th April 2005. The McEvoy is the first major championships for English Juniors of each season. It also has a pedigree of winner that reflects well on any winner with the names of Lee Westwood, Justin Rose and Steve Webster all being inscribed on the huge silver salver which goes to the top player each year. In 2005, Warwickshire had one of its best representations with three Juniors taking part – Rob Browning, Dale Marson and Boys Captain Andy Sullivan.
Doughill takes Midland U16s honours for 2004
With two rounds of 72, it was a great performance from one of the youngest of the Warwickshire contingent in the 2004 Midland Boys at Moseley GC. With our County having won this Post and Mail trophy for Midland Boys itself, each of the last three years, expectations were high throughout but eventually only Chris Doughill was able to claim a Midland Trophy.

GSA Numbers - New for 2004
We have introduced a new system for 2004 - GSA numbers. GSA means Golf SportsSites Access and any player who is a member of a Warwickshire Union Golf Club can apply for one. Your GSA number can be used to enter competitions such as the Junior Order of Merit for 2004 (if you are a Junior), enter on-line for competitions, and to keep a profile for your play - at first it will be most useful for Juniors and the lower handicap golfers but it will become valuable for any golfer over a short period of time. It can also be used to report scores from Open competitions.
