Cryer has Final opportunity |

English Amateur 2007 - Quarter and Semi-Finals - Friday 3rd August 2007 - Matt Cryer will take on 19 year old Daniel Willet in the Final of the English Amateur, seeking the title he covets most and one where he has come close the past two year. Willet is the Yorkshire Champion and a very successful player for a US University so Matt will have his work cut out - in Friday matches he showed the qualities he will need

Dodds the Destroyer |
| Midland Boys Championship - Thursday 19th July 2007 - Kirby Muxloe Golf Club. Three weeks ago Sam Dodds was umming and erring over whether to play in the Midland Boys. There had been the disappointment of his team not making it through to the Junior County Finals, of the same happening when he made his Warwickshire First Team debut in the County 10s qualifier for the 'senior' version of the County Finals, then being caught for the longest time in the worst of the weather at the England Schools. And he didn't feel Kirby Muxloe would suit his game. How wrong he was.

| The Final Centenary Celebrations and the Centenary Book - next week will see the biggest event in our Centenary Celebrations, the Centenary Dinner. If you don't have a place at the fabulous conference facilities of the National Motorcycle museum, it may well be too late. Its not too late to make sure you have a copy of the Warwickshire Union Centenary Book which will be first available at the Dinner. This feature is some more extracts from the book to give you a flavour of what will be a must have for any Warwickshire Golfer.

In three weeks time, the main event of the WU Centenary celebrations will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum with the Centenary Annual Dinner. If you don't have a ticket yet, see your Club Secretary as soon as possible. It is sure to be the perfect occasion to conclude 100 years of fantastic golf. The guest list includes Sir Michael Bonallack and Peter McEvoy. At the Diner, the Centenary book will be launched and for the next three weeks, we will be featuring a number of extracts from the book to whet your appetite of a must read.

Centenary Match - Warwickshire vs Worcestershire |
| Blackwell Golf Club - Sunday 7th May 2006 - 64 of both Counties best players, together with Past Presidents and other County officials, gathered at Blackwell to recreate the first match between the two Unions 100 years ago. There were 16 foursomes matches played, eight between (and off scratch) the best present players, and another eight between officials and past champions etc.
