Peter Alliss notched another achievement in his illustrious career just before Christmas when he received the PGA Recognition Award at The Professional Golfers' Association's annual fundraising lunch.

Aspiring pro golfer Marty Wilde Jnr hasn't allowed the tension of The Big Break IV: USA vs Europe get to him. Twenty-four hours before he made his bow on the popular golf reality TV show, which airs every Monday on The Golf Channel UK, he married fiancee Nina in a ceremony at Datchworth Church - and left for a honeymoon in Mauritius.

Nigel Mansell was at the De Vere Belfry last week as the PGA's Guest of Honour for the first Graduation Ceremony for its Diploma Course. He was full of praise for the programme - 'Its an honour to be invited to present awards to the future of the game'. After the ceremony, Mansell took a few moments to talk to us about his own game.

It was October last year and Steve Backley was part of the Olympians Team at the Schlumberger Challenge at the De Vere Belfry. This was part of his annual holiday, the start of one last year of being one of the best Javelin throwers the World has ever seen.
