Taking his first trophy of 2010, Sam Dodds took on and beat the in-form Worcestershire putting wizard Chris Nugent and triumphed by two shots for the scratch championship but it was a Junior win that matched the headlines as Luke Allen showed considerable skill in taking the nett by 7 shots and reducing his handicap by 1.8.
