The season's final games are synonymous with creating nail biting finishes and a certain amount of faith is required from both managers and supporters alike.

    Pre-Season Friendly - 1sts V Leicestershire and Rutland - Sunday 1st April at Harborne GC - so Tiger Woods is officially back and favourite for this weeks Masters with young Rory snapping at his heels and keen to make up for last years disappointment. The second of our preseason friendlies saw the firsts take on Leicestershire and Rutland at the well regarded Handsworth Golf Club.

  • Early season blues!

    1sts v Northamptonshire - Friendly at Staverton - 25/03/2012. The long dark nights of the winter and are finally behind us and the Masters not too far away. The new season is not quite upon us and on Sunday we had the first of our two preseason friendlies against Northamptonshire at the wonderful De Vere Staverton Park Golf Club situated just outside Daventry.

    Warwickshire 1st vs Staffordshire Whittington Heath GC 02/10/11 - My first season as captain over and this latest match took us to Whittington, a first class venue and one that suited us as we finished the year off with another victory. This is now our third win on the bounce and one that took us to just one point short of this year's league winners Nottingham

    A more competitive and stressful week has never been had for the seven players who represented Warwickshire at this year's county finals. It was 36 holes for three consecutive days competing against three very strong counties and we now know what is required to beat these teams.

    English County Finals 2011 - Ganton GC - Day 2 - With a totally different mood our squad today took on the might of Surrey, Stiggy Hodgson and all. We lost but the matches were much tighter and after the foursommes, the score was 1.5 apiece
