The final County Winter Alliance for this season saw a strong turnout at Stonebridge Golf Club, with 54 ladies from 27 clubs. Several of the ladies commented on the very good condition of the course for this time of year, all down to Danny Jones and his staff.....

The ladies from 20 of the County's golf clubs could hardly believe that it was early January, the weather being so mild and dry for the third of the WLCGA Winter Alliances at Whitefields Golf Club - it could almost have been a Spring day. Everyone enjoyed the course, several remarking on the lovely scenery across Draycote Water and were very complimentary on the condition of the course at this time of year, this being down to green keeper Colin Wilson and his staff....

- WINTER ALLIANCE - 10 DECEMBER 2011
On a very cold and frosty morning, 46 ladies from 23 Golf Clubs were given a very warm welcome by the Henley Golf Club ladies and staff at the start of the December Winter Alliance. Conditions were difficult due to the frost and the need to use temporary greens, but all of the ladies enjoyed the challenge and the scoring was very good in spite of the problematic putting! Thank you to green keeper Pete Doyle for enabling the ladies to play....

Despite dismal weather conditions, damp and grey, 52 ladies from 26 Golf Clubs within the County had a very enjoyable day at Kenilworth Golf Club in the first County Winter Alliance Greemsome Stableford Competition of the season. The scoring was very good given the conditions with Sarah PRIESTMAN and Pat SHARPE (pictured) from Harborne scoring a tremendous 38 points.
