It has just been announced by the BBC that Lauren TAYLOR is included in the shortlist of 10 contenders for the BBC's YOUNG SPORTS PERSONALITY of the YEAR award. The winner will be announced on Thursdaqy 22nd December. We wish her well. Other news regarding Lauren.....
- ELIZABETH MALLETT OFF TO USA IN 2012
Elizabeth Mallett of Sutton Coldfield Ladies GC has just accepted an offer and signed a letter of Intent for a golf scholarship to join The University of North Carolina women's golf team. The four year placement at UNC will begin in August 2012 and her decision to join this particular University same after she had considered two other offers. Elizabeth stated that "they were all highly valuable offers with slightly differing strengths and emphasis, so it's been a difficult choice to make". We wish her well.
- NEW COMPETITION FOR THE GIRLS IN 2011
On Sunday 30th October a new competition was held at Little Aston Golf Club, with the 5 counties of Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Hereford & Shropshire, Leicestershire and Worcestershire participating. It was organised and hosted by Fred Fearns, the Staffordshire Development Officer and was open to boys and girls aged 8 to 16......

Our 3rd and Final Stableford for 2011 was held at Stonebridge G.C on Thursday 17th October. We had had sunny weather all week but alas on Thursday it rained all day so conditions were tough. 14 girls took part in 2 divisions.Div 1 1-20 H'Cap Div 2 21-54 H'Cap.....

It was a glorious, but very hot and humid, day at Coventry Golf Club with the course looking in superb condition. The girls battled round 36 holes and produced some remarkably good scores.....
