GOLF SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE USA |
 |
|
Americans have been honing their golfing skills at US universities for decades, going back to Arnold Palmer in the 50 s (Wake Forest), Jack Nicklaus in the 60 s (Ohio State) and Ben Crenshaw in the 70 s (Texas). But it was really the likes of Tiger Woods (Stanford) and Phil Mickelson (Arizona State) in the 90 s that have awakened young British golfers like Luke Donald (Northwestern), Paul Casey (Arizona State) and Becky Morgan (North Carolina @ Greensboro) and hundreds of wannabees to the opportunities to improve their golf and continue in higher education.
