The HSBC Wee Wonders Final 2008 - St Andrews
Maxstoke's Joshua Davenport has just returned to Warwickshire with the biggest title he can win at his tender age, the Wee Wonder Grand Final Championship Boys for his age group 7-8. To qualify for the Grand Final at St Andrews, Josh won a local qualifier and then the Midlands Regional Final (more than 3500 other comptitors)

Carney takes 2nd in McGregor |
| The English U16s - The 'McGregor' - High Post GC - 1st-3rd July - Its been many years since a Warwickshire Golfer has taken a National Title. Last year Matt Cryer reached the final of the English Amateur, last week Andy Sullivan got to the semis of the British, and just yesterday Jamie Carney was just two strokes away from the McGregor.

Three Warwickshire U16's did the County proud yesterday @ Woburn in the Nick Faldo Midlands Final Qualifier.
Jake won the Under 16's with a gross 79 and goes on to the Regional Final at the Forest of Arden on the 27th August, which is one step away from the Grand Final which was hosted by Nick Faldo himself at the Celtic Manor last year so who knows...whilst Sam Teather finished third in Under 16's and George Allen second in Under 15's. | 2007/8 Warwickshire Cup - Warwickshire Schools Entry - January 1st 2008. In the update, you will find the completed draw for the 2007-2008 Warwickshire Cup, after the 1st Round Matches, and the first entry forms for 2008, for the 26th Warwickshire Schools which will be played at the West Midlands GC on Tuesday 25th March. Firstly though, a Very Happy New Year to all our readers.

| NEWS FROM JANE DENNICK - COUNTY JUNIOR ORGANISER - The second round of the series was held at Walmley GC on 31st May. The winner with 38 points was Hannah Pearl Wood, Nuneaton, followed by Gia Rhodes, Copt Heath with 36 points. Third place was taken by Katrina Gani of Shirley with 35 points. The winner of the first round at Ladbrook Park in April was Kerri Mirfield with 42 points followed by Fleur Davies with 40 points, both of Coventry, Finham. Leanne King, Shirley, took third place with 37 points. As Kerri was unable to play in the second round, the series is building up to an exciting finish at Edgbaston in October. |
