At the recent AGM of Warwickshire Ladies County Golf Association Ltd, the Captain's badge of office was handed over by Dottie BEANLAND to the new Captain for the next two years, Bobbi WAUGH (Moor Hall GC), (pictured left). Bobbi in recent years has been 2nd Team Captain and last year was also County Vice Captain. After the presentation Bobbi said "I am delighted to be taking over from Dottie and will do my best to keep up the excellent standard set by past captains."....

In order to keep the lady members of Warwickshire Golf Clubs up to date with what is happening within the County and Nationally with EWGA, each Club from the County has nominated a representative who attends regular meetings with Jane Betts, EGWA Regional Representative for the County. Lewine MAIR entertained 140 members of the Warwickshire Ladies County Golf Association at their Spring Luncheon held at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club on Monday 21st March. Her fantastic recall of events past and present, wit and anecdotes of certain tour players, both male and female who she knows well, had us all enthralled. Many of the assembled company knew her of old and it was a great time for renewing old friendships....

At the County AGM, held on Wednesday 17th November at Copt Heath Golf Club, the Committee members read out the reports in relation to their responsibilities. If you were unable to be there, you can now read what activities and successes happened during the 2009/2010 year in Club and County golf for Warwickshire.

South Staffs Golf Club hosted the 2010 Charles Heeley Challenge Bowl on Wednesday 6th October. The competition is open to all Ladies in the Counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire and this year some 55 Clubs participated with 94 Ladies competing.
