In this the first of the Vets competitions of the season, the venue was Walmley Golf Club and the sun shone for most of the day which was a great bonus after the recent April weather. Some 90 competitors played in the Better Ball Stableford format representing 19 clubs throughout the County.....

The final competition of the season for WVLGA was held at Robin Hood Golf Club of Monday 3rd October. In this 3 ball Alliance Stableford format some 114 players set off in bright sunshine. Yes this was October!!!....

The sun shone all day on some 128 competitors playing in the Summer AM AM at Shirley Golf Club, on Monday 22nd August 2011. When the cards were handed in, the comments heard around the clubhouse included, good greens, what a lot of water on the first 4 holes, isn't the course difficult and so on, but on balance everyone seemed to have enjoyed the occasion....
