- It Wasn't to Be
1sts vs Shropshire & Hereford - Sunday 6th September 2015 - Venue: Herefordshire Golf Club. Our final Midland League game of the year was away to Shropshire & Herefordshire at the Herefordshire Golf Club. It's a Par 70, 6055 yards (mostly uphill!) with the last 5 holes setup very well for match play format. With blue sky, warm temperatures and a golf course in great condition, all was perfect for some great golf.
- 2nds Finish in Style
The Warwickshire County 2nd Team went into the final game of the 2015 season sitting atop of the 2nd Team Midland League, knowing that a win over Shropshire & Herefordshire would seal a Midland 2nds League Title. The match was being held at Stonebridge Golf Club near Coventry, a venue which has been used regularly of late by both Warwickshire 1st and 2nd Teams.
- First win at 55 - Braodhurst is back - and our U14s do well
Yesterday didn't actually see Paul Broadhurst's first tour win (that was in 1989) and his last win was in 2006 - on the European Tour - but 15 days after his 55th Birthday, on his first venture onto the Seniors Tour, he recorded his first (hopefully of many) as a 'Senior'. That was in Scotland and back here in the Midlands, our U14s were doing their best in the Midland team Championships.
