Golfing fans on board P&O Cruises ships this season will be able to perfect their swing and fine-tune their putting. The P&O Cruises Golf Programme is now available on board, and ashore, Arcadia, Aurora, Oceana and Ventura for 2008-9.

| Sri Lanka is a magical island, it has had numerous names over the centuries, and it's latest is a derivative from the Sanskrit, meaning 'resplendant land', the arabs used to call it 'serendip' both could not be more appropriate. It lies just south east of the Indian sub continent, and enjoys a sub tropical climate, but one which varies depending on where you are on the island. |

To play or not to play, that was the first question when the invitation arrived for the Power Play Shoot Out at Northwick Park. As a traditionalist, the first reaction was a polite refusal, but the realist overcame the objections, and I am pleased to report a thoroughly enjoyable experience. So much so that the follow up event at Frilford Heath, adapted for Sky television was an automatic acceptance.

| Thursday 6th March - Financial Times Anglo Irish Bank Business Championship 2008 Today Anglo Irish Bank announced a three year co-title sponsorship of the UK's most prestigious Business Golf Championship, run in association with the Financial Times. The bank also announced Lee Westwood as a brand ambassador for the Golf Championship, underlining the distinguished nature of the event.

With the privilege of reading the majority of new books, it is easy to become nonchalant, but when the subject is links golf, that is entirely another matter. 'Journey Through the Links' is a wonderful addition to the literary world of golf. As a self confessed addict, I read and was able to relive many of the rounds I have played over these fascinating and challenging courses, collected, photographed and described in one beautifully presented book by David Worley.
