Bet with Broadhurst |

Havng predicted 280 for the week it was a more than happy Paul Broadhurst who fired a last round 68 in the Quinn Direct British Masters to take a share of 7th place with that exact score - 'It was good really. I was really pleased with the first 12. The last 6 I was just hanging on', said Paul.
One bad shot on the 13th needed all Paul's recovery skills to make par -

| The Quinn Direct British Masters 2006 - Final Day
With 10 holes to go, the 2006 Quinn Direct British Masters looked a two horse race between the last pairing of the 'Men in Black', good friends Michael Campbell and Paul Casey. They were two and four shots clear of the field respectively after each had made a birdie in the first few holes. Playing behind them was crowd favorite Darren Clarke and Johan Edfors. Clarke started with three bogeys in the first five and seemed well out of it at -7 whilst Edfors turned at -10. What was going on behind this pairing was incredible.

The best barometer all week, for the Daily Telegraph Dunlop Masters, has been the number of bricks to hold open the media tent door. Thursday was a one or two brick day. Friday was five (the stroke average was more akin to Bethpage Black for the US Open than a free scoring day on a course where par has been the cut mark) whilst yesterday was back to only one. |

From the final groups 22 players were within six shots of the lead held by Paul Broadhurst, playing a long Arden course in perfect conditions. No mistakes would be the requirement for the day plus taking advantage of any good approaches …. |

It was a day of reckoning for Paul Broadhurst. Could he keep hitting fairways as he had done for the previous three round/ Would his aggressive putting, a carry over from his amateur and early professional times be rewarded? This was his story. |

Warwickshire Day 3 – Broadhurst Moves and moves …. |
| The sole representative of ‘our’ guys left in the DailyTelegraph Damovo British Masters is Paul Broadhurst, looking to play significant ‘catch-up’ after injury has prevented him from playing for eight weeks. With a pretty impressive fairway hitting percentage (by necessity as the Forest bears more than a passing resemblance to a US Open course), Paul was out in match 32 and lying in a £25 000 or so prize money placing – |
