IT'S A HAT TRICK |
WGC Amex Championship - Day 4 - Tiger Woods completed his hat trick with a brilliant eagle on the 18th hole, his third in three days. An eagle which enabled him to finish on 19 under par and with a lead of six shots, an improvement of one, which until late in the round looked most unlikely. |

TIGER'S BIRDIE BLITZ |
| World Golf Championships - American Express Championship - The Grove Hertfordshire - Day two (29 Sept 2006)- Starting at the 10th, he birdied the first, then had a run of pars to the 18th, , which included some birdie opportunities. He was denied his birdie opportunity at the par 5, 15th by being in the bunker from his drive. Jim Furyk, five under to the turn, and Padraig Harrington began to move closer and joined him at the top of the leaderboard, as he came to the tee on the par 5 last hole on his front nine. |

Tired - not a bit |
The American Express World Golf Championship 2006 - The Grove - Day 1 - Two European players from last week's victorious team who did not maybe have the week they really wanted in Ireland (although both contributed a point or more), plus the World Number 1 Tiger Woods and the man who put an end to Sergio Garcia's attempt at five wins at the K club, all shook off any tiredness or poor form to make their first round moves for the 2006 Amex title and the riches that go with it.

Europe expects |
| The American Express Championship - the Grove, Herts - September 27th - Preview. A 'friendly' fourball of Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia, David Howell and Ian Poulter took with them much of the crowds on the practice day for the last individual World Golf Championships, and crowds there were as with Tiger Woods in the field, London is the place to be for any golfer.

And the winner is? |
As the players made their way into their finals rounds, there were only seven for whom a World Golf Championship title seemed to be a reality – a stellar seven at that. Darren Clarke had said, after his 65 on Saturday that he was still on there to ‘make up the numbers’. Clarke though likes a ‘flutter’ and if he had been playing poker rather than golf, his holed second at the first for an eagle would have been akin to being dealt a pair of aces in a game of draw poker – make that 8 players battling for the Amex 2004. |

Amex 2004 – Day 3 - No more excuses |
| Having spent ‘a little more time on the greens than I should have on Friday', Tiger Woods was ready to find his putting form once again as he sought a third American Express Championship in a row at Mount Juliet Conrad. Irish hopes were resting on Padriag Harrington also finding his putting form, with tens of thousands of supporters ready to cheer on every stroke from the World No 7. |
