- ENGLISH COUNTY FINALS 2009 - DAY 2
Tuesday saw Warwickshire playing Surrey in the second day of the county finals. Sadly Elizabeth Haycock had to leave the squad at lunchtime because of family illness at home. Overnight the squad had been joined by Rachel Rusted and Ashley Cramond. Ashley had played for the English Schools team against Scotland, earning 2 out of 2 points. Also at short notice, as Elizabeth Haycock was leaving the team, Lauren Taylor journeyed up last night to play today.
- ENGLISH COUNTY FINALS 2009 - DAY 1
Day one saw Warwickshire against Gloucestershire. With the weather a little misty, the morning foursomes saw Warwickshire get off to a slow start losing all three matches. New team member Charlotte Taylor played with Lisa Barton. The other pairings were Claire Howells & Liz Haycock and Charlotte Dalton with Hannah McLaughlin, who had a close match finally losing on the 17th.

Warwickshire County Ladies are off to English County Finals in less than 2 weeks time!! For the second year in succession your Warwickshire County 1st team will contest the EWGA English County Finals. This year we head north into Lancashire and Pleasington GC; a beautiful but very tight course where accuracy and sensible heads will be required. Only Hertfordshire join Warwickshire from last year's six County finalists, where Yorkshire held onto the title.

Winter training and practice matches are now almost complete. One final session at the par 3 course at Nailcote Hall takes place shortly.

- Warwickshire Ladies maintain their winning streak!!
The Mary Turner Bowl comes back to Warwickshire. 2008 has seen the County 1st team win their Midlands South competition and the County 2nd team retain their trophy. Playing in the old Midlands Sub Division 2 for the very last time Sue Jones and her 2nd team were triumphant over Staffordshire, Worcestershire & Herefordshire and Derbyshire. Warwickshire have now won the trophy three times in the last five years. 2009 however sees both 2nd team and junior matches moving into the new Midlands South region.

In just under two weeks time the youngest squad ever to represent Warwickshire will be putting their skills to the test in our first ever 5day County Week. With three juniors and a further four players under the age of 21 history is being made!
