2004 was a fantastic season for your County 2nd Team. For the first time in many years Warwickshire remained unbeaten throughout the season to clinch the title. Can we retain this trophy in 2005?

On a bitterly cold day, at Stratford Oaks GC, the majority of the Warwickshire County Ladies 1sts and 2nd Team Players gathered for a final Winter Training Session under the tutelage of Andy Dunbar, County Coach. It was too cold for the planned short game session, with snow forecast at anytime, so County Captain Pat Hale and Andy took the players onto the newly refurbished range for some work on wedge play and the mental side of the game.

Not to be outdone by the success of the 1st team the County 2nd team have themselves succeeded in winning their inter county trophy. For the first time in many years Warwickshire remained unbeaten throughout the season to clinch the title.
- Second Team Hopes Riding High!
What will 2004 have in store for the County 2nd team? Having come second to Derbyshire last year I'm hopeful that the team can climb that extra rung on the ladder. With winter coaching now complete, Warwickshire have an excellent 2nd team squad. Added to the depth and experience that already exists we also welcome four new talented juniors. Could this be the team that takes the top spot this year?
- 2nd Team Fixtures 2004
This week sees the first match of 2004 for the County 2nd team. The annual warm-up game against the Warwickshire Vets takes place on Thursday at Nuneaton GC. It is always a tightly contested affair with youth against experience! However, we are hopeful of a positive start to the season.

It was a special birthday celebration just recently for your 2nd Team Captain. After a very successful season, Bev Belcher gave this report to the WLCGA AGM. For those who were unable to attend the meeting, this is a record of the 2003 Season.
- The Mary Turner Bowl
The Mary Turner Bowl was competed for at Walmley Golf Club for on 8th October, hosted by Warwickshire. The trophy is competed for annually between Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire the format being a better-ball alliance stroke-play with 8 First Team and 8 Second County Team players in each team.
