The Midland Boys League is back in Warwickshire |
 |
|
Midland Junior League 2007 - Match 4 - vs Shrops & Hereford away at Worfield GC - Thursday 23rd August - With nine holes to play, Warwickshire looked to have blown any chance of this year's Midland League title. Our team were only in front in three matches and many times it has been Shropshire & Hereford who have been out biggest rivals and our 'bete noir'.

Dodds delivers again |
| Warwickshire Boys Championship 2007 - Monday 30th July - Ladbrook Park GC - Sam Dodds has shown some devastating flashes of scoring over the past few weeks. He has yet to put a string of sub par rounds together but when not on top form, he has always managed to keep a score going and today at Ladbrook, he did so with his immaculate short game, administering the coup de grace on the rest of the field by holing his birdie chip at the last to win the Boys by three shots.

ENGLISH SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007 |
| Walsall Golf Club - Monday 25th June - There was only one bit of success for Warwickshire juniors playing in the 29th English Schools Championship. With all the rain, Walsall was already saturated and the first hour of play was in more heavy rain. It severely affected the chance of James Smith and especially Sam Dodds who were both early starters for us.

The Magnificent Seventh comes from our Eight |

|
2007 4 Counties - Enville GC - Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd April. Winning again and again is tough. The pressures of records become greater as the records grow longer. Six consecutive wins in the four Counties could only serve to inspire our three County competitors to be the team which breaks the record of Warwickshire wins, whilst asking our Junior golfers to match some very impressive past year's performances. 2007 would not be the year to end the record, only to continue it.

Stratford's Smithy takes Schools |
| Warwickshire Schools 2007 - Stratford Oaks GC - Tuesday 10th April - Every year Warwickshire (like every other County) loses some of its best junior players to 'age'. The hardest job for a County management is to find new players to renew teams and take their place on Championship Trophies. In the 70s, Stratford GC produced a number of very fine players, including the likes of Nick Tarratt and of course Andy Dunbar, now Teaching Pro at Stratford Oaks. Quality Juniors came from Stratford for two decades but it has been a number of years since the club had a Junior of the ability of James Smith, today's champion.
