Match held at Purley Chase GC on Sunday 18th August 2002 Comments from Brian Fish, Chairman of Warwickshire Junior Golf - "It was an outstanding performance against a very good team. To lose only one match all day (in the actual match itself), and that being our Captain Jon Wetton against the top performer Greg Morgan, was very good. We will loose David Harris, who has made a real difference in the two months since he has returned from Germany, and Jon Wetton, but we have some real strength in depth. If we could only have another match with Staffordshire ...."
2002 - Warwickshire vs Berks, Bucks & Oxon
U16 s Match - The Welcombe 2002 At the end of a long Summer season, and missing 6 of Warwickshire s top U16 s players, our County took on a strong BB&O side over the manicured course at the Welcombe in the last but one U16 s match of the season. Captained by Ben Stafford, Midland Boys Champion, there were two debutantes in the Warwickshire team, the promising Jack Sant and Edward Lavery.

Midland Group 10 Counties Boys Qualifying 2002
Sandwell Park Golf Club, Staffordshire As you can see from the intro picture, the weather for the 10 Counties qualifying was terrible for the afternoon play, effecting the later starters especially. Warwickshire s team was Jon Wetton (Boys Captain), James Crompton, Sam Foster, Sam Hufton, Jak Hamblett and Chris Evans.

Beeston Fields GC, Nottingham Friday 7th June Warwickshire enjoyed good success in the 2002 Midland Schools - Our Girls Team came third in the team competition, just one shot behind Staffordshire and 3 back from the Winners Derbyshire.
