THE WARWICKSHIRE BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP 2002 |
 |
|
Coventry Golf Club
Chris Evans had two eagles in his winning golf for the Warwickshire Boys Championship. The first was at his 10th hole, and with that shot, together with the 7 that David Harris (Kenilworth - eventual Runner-Up) took at the same par 5, most of the difference of 6 shots between the two was formed from the Morning play.
Evans was not the scoring leader for much of the early play. |

2nd April 2002 Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club
For past Champions, going back to defend or to try and retake a title they have held can be difficult. There is also plenty of pressure on players from home clubs so the story of the 2002 Schools was of three past champions, 2 Stratford Juniors, and the best Warwickshire Juniors - nearly all U16 s.
