THE WARWICKSHIRE BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP 2002
Coventry Golf Club Chris Evans had two eagles in his winning golf for the Warwickshire Boys Championship. The first was at his 10th hole, and with that shot, together with the 7 that David Harris (Kenilworth - eventual Runner-Up) took at the same par 5, most of the difference of 6 shots between the two was formed from the Morning play. Evans was not the scoring leader for much of the early play.

2nd April 2002 Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club For past Champions, going back to defend or to try and retake a title they have held can be difficult. There is also plenty of pressure on players from home clubs so the story of the 2002 Schools was of three past champions, 2 Stratford Juniors, and the best Warwickshire Juniors - nearly all U16 s.
THE MGU CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT 2001
Oliver West, our Warwickshire Boys Champion, came second in the Champion of Champions Tournament at Sandwell. He lead by one shot from David Walley of Staffordshire after the morning round shooting a 69 to Walley s 70. In the afternoon, Oliver could only manage a 75 whilst David Walley matched Oliver s 69 from the morning for a 5 shot victory.
ENGLISH SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP 2001
Two Warwickshire Golfers qualified and were able to play in this Championship, badly affected by the AS Level exams for withdrawls. Oliver West (Robin Hood) and Sam Hufton (Copt Heath) represented Warwickshire Boys Oliver West came 6th and won his England Cap

Andy Jones and Oliver West share the honours On a glorious summer s day, Handsworth welcomed over 60 of Warwickshire best Juniors and U21 s to play in their respective championships. The course was immaculately prepared with some of the fastest greens that players had seen all Summer.
