| 2006 Midland League - Final matches - Sunday 8th October - Handsworth and Drayton GCs. Two wins would mean two trophies and at lunchtime, both our 1sts and 2nds were ahead, the 1sts by 3.5 to 1.5 and the 2nds by 5.5 to 0.5 points. Things were looking good. Could we win both Midland League titles |

EGU men's County Finals 2006 - Princes GC - Sunday 1st October - Final day. Having beaten Surrey on Saturday, the Warwickshire team faced Gloucestershire know that a win may well put them in second place when the final rankings were announced. The three foursomes are a key part of any competition such as this, when only nine points are available. Losing them 2-1 is just about OK. 3-0 leaves a mountain to climb and Warwickshire faced that sort of slope. |

| EGU Men's County Finals 2006 - Day 2 - Saturday 30th September - Against the mightly Surrey, Warwickshire knew that a win was a must to contend for the 2006 County Finals. It was a day of 'Ryder' Cup drama, with a number of matches never having more than one hole in them. Throughout the day, the scoreboard drifted in Surrey's favour, then back. In the end, the match came down to two 2s and a super fight-back. |

EGU County Finals 2006 - Princes GC, Kent - Day 1 - On a day of really blustery weather, the seven Warwickshire team players produced some outstanding golf but in the end were heavily beaten 7-2 by the favorites for the County title Yorkshire. There were so many positives for County Captain Graham Hargreaves, that is apart from no reward for how well the team played. |

| EGU County Finals - Princes GC - Friday 29th September to Sunday 1st October - 'What's the secret of a winning team? Ask Tom Lehman!', joked County Captain Graham Hargreaves before he left with the Warwickshire Team to prepare for the start of what is really an amateur version of the golden trophy - with all the drama. The team arrived in Kent this morning, for three days of acclimatizing in Kent - to the wind and to the links of a Club which is also in its Centenary year.
