Bardsley climbs to 11th |

Peter McEvoy Trophy 2008 - Copt Heath Golf Club- Thursday 18th April - with a finishing 36 holes of 75 and 72, Rob Bardsley climbed three places to finish T11th in the 2008 McEvoy. It was a good performance, the best in recent years, by a Warwickshire Junior and could have been even better but for some bad luck.

| Wednesday 16th April 2008 - Copt Heath Golf Club - Our Boys Captain Rob Bardsley has made it through comfortably to the final 36 holes of this year's Peter McEvoy Trophy. Although not at his best, Rob managed his game well enough for a first round 73, then a 36 in the second nine holes, to be seven shots back from the lead held by Scottish Junior Sam Binning.

2008 Warwickshire Trials - Sunday 13th April - Olton GC - On handicap (both +3), Andy Sullivan and Matt Cryer should have been the favorites for this years Mens Trials, and they duly delivered with gross 68s for 37 points, to beat our Boys Captain Rob Bardsley and Ian Stranks by a shot (and a point).

| The Berkhamstead Trophy - Saturday 5th April. As the opener to the English Amateur Golf season, the Berkhamstead is known for being a trial by weather (more often than not) and this year proved the same bar the fact that Andy Sullivan beat the rain, hail and snow, and a top field of 70 other competitors to take this very prestigious trophy back home to Nuneaton and Purley Chase.

The Warwickshire Cup Final - The Warwickshire GC - Saturday April 5th. With another convincing performance, the Warwickshire GC team took back the trophy that bears their name, and was actually donated by the Club some nine years ago. It was a case of the two 'form' teams reaching the final as neither Coventry Hearsall or The Warwickshire dropped more than a point in making it through to the final, from the initial 24 entries in the Counties Winter Inter-Club competition.
