The man who grows the best grass - and his course.
The man in charge of the grass on a golf course has one of two probable titles . He could be the greenkeeper or perhaps the Superintendent - whatever his nomenclature he is the man in charge and the billion or more blades of (hopefully) green grass on his course are the love and the bain of his life.
Meet your Driver
This is Martin Kirby, owner of Kirby Cars. For a party of 10-12 golfers, Martin or one of his drivers can chauffeur your group to any of the courses you choose to play on the West Coast, and return you to your hotel. If there are just three or four of you, why not have his services with a luxury BMW at your disposal? The latter might not be cost effective when compared with a hire car, but using a mini coach certainly is though - why not treat yourself ....?
Cork and Kerry - a land of history, beauty and a very warm welcome.
You can travel thousands of miles to find somewhere unspoilt, countries and people who are not blasé about visitors, places not dominated by over indulgent development nor with a fleecing attitude to tourism. Or you can take one of the low cost airlines and discover more of Ireland, notably the Cork and Kerry region, and have a holiday for really any pocket.
Discovering your game
No matter what your handicap or your golfing ambitions, there is time and a place where you find out about your golf game, a round which you always remember, one that can inspire or it can be that day when every part of your swing and attitude is exposed - and ruined - either way though you still come back for more. The more modern Championship golf course has tried to been designed and then marketed to do just this. The Classics no longer hold firm on the monacer of being the true tests of golf as it stands in 2004.
Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa
A hotel needs an identity. It can branded, it can have history, it may fashionable or it may have location. A brand has familiarity and kept standards of quality. History sometimes equates to renovation, fashion (as an identity) is here today and gone ... sometime soon. Location is the most definitive of identities.
Maryborough Hotel - Cork
The Maryborough is a unique experience - from the outside its a charming old world mansion but inside you will stay in a creatively designed extension and development, at the centre of 20 acres of natural parkland. Its a top quality hotel, one of the best in and around Cork, set into the hillsides overlooking the south of the city.
