- A disastrous start to the campaign
Sunday 5th June 2011 - Sherwood Forest Golf Club vs Nottinghamshire. We kicked off our quest for the hat-trick of league wins with a visit to the wonderful Sherwood Forest Golf Club. This season has seen the second team reduced from 12-a-side to 10-a-side, but given the talent in my squad I was confident that we would hit the ground running.
- Boys v Derbys - Copt Heath
Sunday 5th June - Warks 7 1/2 Derbys 7 1/2 -Because of exams and injury, we were forced to field 4 rookies for this match. Absentees included Nathan Ray (shoulder injury) and Luke Allen ('A' Levels), two of our top four, so we were, to say the least, expecting a hard day.

The format is teams of 6, playing 36 holes medal, with aggregate of best 5 scores in each round to count, the winning county to represent the Midlands in the National Finals in August. So how did we do and what went on?

Andy Sullivan in back at No 10 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings after an incredible finish to win the Scottish Open Amateur Golf Championship last Sunday at Blairgowrie. Having lead after three rounds, Andy found himself three shots back with four holes to play before he produced the best finish of his career - so far.

- First for Forbes
The 2011 Mens Matchplay Championship - Sunday 29thy May - The Final. After five second place finishes in major competitions, Elliott Forbes admitted he had started to doubt that he could win but the 'bridesmaid' tag vanished with a sterling performance to take the huge TP Cooke trophy, beating the man none of the field wanted to play, Handsworth's Karl Smith.
