This Friday, at the Warwickshire Union Annual Dinner, for the second consecutive year our 2nds will receive the trophy for winning their League. These (and in the following days) are profiles of the players from the squad, provide by Neville Gardner, the 2nds Captain -

The Tailhades Cup - England comes third in the Team event but Andy wins the Individual Championship. In a championship which England teams have done very well over the last decade, Andy started very well with a 67.

This feature includes the updated draw for the 2010-2011 Warwickshire Cup.

At face value Warks' first team faced a straightforward task - all we needed to do was beat S&H at home and the league would be retained. Many factors were in our favour - we haven't lost at Olton in 10 years, we had our strongest 10 players in the side and the opposition were 5 or 6 regulars light on where they would have liked to have been.

Sunday 24th October 2010 - Church Stretton Golf Club 2nds vs Shropshire & Herefordshire - Our final match of the season was against S&H at Church Stretton. We were supposed to play the match on Ryder Cup Sunday, but just like Celtic Manor the golf course at Church Stretton resembled a boating lake. As a result the fixture was postponed and rearranged for Sunday 24th October.
