ENGLISH SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007 |
Walsall Golf Club - Monday 25th June - There was only one bit of success for Warwickshire juniors playing in the 29th English Schools Championship. With all the rain, Walsall was already saturated and the first hour of play was in more heavy rain. It severely affected the chance of James Smith and especially Sam Dodds who were both early starters for us.

COUNTY FINALS QUALIFYING 2007 |
| Coventry Finham Golf Club - Saturday 24th June - Its rare that a team qualifies for the County Finals from any of the four regional competitions with an under par score. Only the winners go through each year, so this year when there were four teams all under par from their 12 round totals, it was some special golf played by all those four teams. Unfortunately Warwickshire were the third of those four teams and will not be going to Cleveland at the end of September.

It was a sad end to a great week for Andy but he was happy with how well he had done -

1up win takes Andy Sullivan through to R2 |
| British Amateur 2007 - Wednesday 20th June - Andy Sullivan is through to the last 32 of the British Amateur after a final green birdie took him against Wallace Booth. He now faces 18 year old Luke Goddard in the second round. The match included birdies and bogies and a crucial 50ft par putt on the 10th hole on a day when the winds were ever blustery over the Open Championship link of Royal Lytham St Annes.

Golf News - Andy Sullivan makes Matchplay in the Amateur + more Seniors news |
Tuesday 19th June 2007 - British Amateur Qualifying and last Seniors Team match - Andy Sullivan took his place in the British Amateur Top 64 draw quite comfortably, actually making the Top 10 of the elite from the 288 strong field. Putting aside bad memories of last year's Lytham Trophy, when Andy found nearly every one of the fearsome Open Championship course's bunkers, Andy had a 69 and he could have been the leading qualifier were it not for a dropped shot at the 17th.
