Fine wonderful playing weather although it was very disappointing that only 8 home grown players will be playing the final two days. A total of 68 players made the cut which was at 3 over par (147).
There was very little breeze as the first players arrived on the tee at 7.35am. Forecasts for the day proved to be right with the winds not reaching more than 15mph and extended periods of sunshine. |

Sunday - Pay Day - Paul Broadhurst has the confidence gained from a solid round in difficult conditions to take with him into this week s Scandinavian Masters in Malmo. A level-par 72 does not by itself sound impressive, but when you add the stiff wind blowing when he started and the heavy showers that struck midway through, it was a considerable achievement.
