RYDALE BACKS COUNTY GOLFERS
Rydale Cars, the BMW and MINI dealer flagship in Birmingham city centre has announced its sponsorship of the Warwickshire Ladies County Golf Championship to be held at Ladbrook Park GC from 9 - 11 May 2006. The blue ribbon event in the ladies county golf calendar will be highly contested and has attracted a host of present and past international golfers to enter for the title.
PAT HALE brings home an ELGA Trophy
Buckinghamshire's Christine Watson gave herself the perfect birthday present when she won a "monumental battle" to become English Seniors' Champion BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY FOR WARWICKSHIRE LADIES The Division B final was won by Pat Hale (Edgbaston) who beat Lotti Edmunds (Aldeburgh) 3/1. We don't have immediate detailed news of how Pat won but please congratualte Pat whenever you can.
Top seed Carole Caldwell in semi-finals of English Seniors' Championship
Top seed Carole Caldwell is safely through to the semi-finals of the Senior Ladies' English Close Championship at her home club, Sunningdale. The former Curtis Cup player now meets Christine Watson (Beaconsfield) while defending champion Chris Quinn (Hockley) takes on Sue Pickles (Lee on the Solent).
A first for Mallet t- plus FULL RESULTS
Ingon Manor GC - Tuesday 11th April. Elizabeth Mallett took her first Warwickshire title with a very good 91 in appalling weather conditions at Ingon. It was a very tight competition with Elizabeth taking the Warwickshire Schools title by two shots from defending champion Lauren Clark-Hughes, thus putting her name on a trophy that was once the long term property of our best ever girl, Felicity Johnson.
The 2006 Warwickshire Schools - Start Sheet
This feature includes the Start Sheet for the Warwickshire Schools, to be held at Ingon Manor GC on Tuesday 11th April with tee-times from 11.30am. Defending Champions are Lauren Clark-Hughes for the Girls and Rory Kirwan for the Boys and both are able to play in the 2006 event. There are five titles to win for the 54 (at present) entrants plus qualification for five National events. There are five Girls playing.
