- ENGLISH COUNTY FINALS 2009 - DAY 2
Tuesday saw Warwickshire playing Surrey in the second day of the county finals. Sadly Elizabeth Haycock had to leave the squad at lunchtime because of family illness at home. Overnight the squad had been joined by Rachel Rusted and Ashley Cramond. Ashley had played for the English Schools team against Scotland, earning 2 out of 2 points. Also at short notice, as Elizabeth Haycock was leaving the team, Lauren Taylor journeyed up last night to play today.
- ENGLISH COUNTY FINALS 2009 - DAY 1
Day one saw Warwickshire against Gloucestershire. With the weather a little misty, the morning foursomes saw Warwickshire get off to a slow start losing all three matches. New team member Charlotte Taylor played with Lisa Barton. The other pairings were Claire Howells & Liz Haycock and Charlotte Dalton with Hannah McLaughlin, who had a close match finally losing on the 17th.
- GOOD LUCK GIRLS - English County Finals 2009
Warwickshire County Ladies are off to English County Finals in less than 2 weeks time!! For the second year in succession your Warwickshire County 1st team will contest the EWGA English County Finals. This year we head north into Lancashire and Pleasington GC; a beautiful but very tight course where accuracy and sensible heads will be required. Only Hertfordshire join Warwickshire from last year's six County finalists, where Yorkshire held onto the title.
- Elizabeth Mallett just misses out at the Girls British Open Amateur Championship 2009
At the Girls' British Open Amateur Championship, played at the West Lancahsire Golf Club, Elizabeth Mallett from Sutton Coldfield Golf Club played her heart out over the three days. She reached the final on Friday 14th playing against another 15 year old from France, Perrine Delacour, to lose only by 2 holes.
- Lauren TAYLOR just misses out on chance to play with the stars
Lauren Taylor (Rugby), still only 14, played in the final qualifier for the Ricoh British Women's Open at Fairhaven on 27th July.
- Ashley CRAMOND is the Winner
Congratulations to Ashley Cramond from the Warwickshire Golf Club, who beat Katherine O'Connor from Tadmarton Heath Golf Club, to become the first ever Midlands South Regional Champion.
- Midlands South Division Championships 2009
Commencing play at Buckingham Golf Club on Tuesday 7th July 2009, three Warwickshire players had chosen to play.
