- County Week - WARWICKSHIRE ARE THE WINNERS
Warwickshire had only one thing to do today and that was WIN! Doubts were expressed about the weather holding up and after the early morning downpour and the gloomy conditions at the start of play, fingers were crossed.
- Day 4 - The Competition Hots Up
The stage was set for some sparkling play today, Day 4 and we certainly weren't disappointed by the Warwickshire girls. The Foursome pairings for today were Lisa Barton and Elizabeth Mallett, Abbey Gittings and Hannah McLoughlan and Claire Howells and Charlotte Dalton.
- Day 3 - The Sun Shone and so did Warwickshire
The sun shone from early morning and after the players were adorned with sun cream and insect spray, they set off on Day 3. Opposition today was Berkshire, with Foursomes pairings of Elizabeth Mallett (Sutton Coldfield) and Charlotte Dalton (Ladbrook Park), Claire Howells (Moor Hall)and Elizabeth Haycock (Moseley) and Lauren Taylor (Rugby) and Ashley Crammond (The Warwickshire) chosen for Warwickshire.
- COUNTY WEEK - Day 2 Action
Today the opposition was Northamptonshire with the Foursome pairings being Ashley Crammond (The Warwickshire) & Lauren Taylor (Rugby), Hannah McLoughlan(Sutton Coldfield) & Abbey Gittings (Walmley) and Lisa Barton (Coventry) & Elizabeth Mallett (Sutton Coldfield). The weather was completely different from Day 1 in that the sun shone all day, with temperatures rising by the hour!!
- Warwickshire start well in defence of their title-Day 1
For the Foursome matches, played in the morning, Bev Belcher, Warwickshire Captain chose Abbey Gittings & Hannah Coles, Charlotte Dalton & Claire Howells and Lisa Barton & Lauren Taylor as the pairings. All matches were well contested,with Warwickshire the victors, gaining 21/2 points to Oxfordshire's 1/2.
- Day 1 - Afternoon Singles Matches
The afternoon saw each County playing 6 Singles matches, once again playing against Oxfordshire: The players for Warwickshire were: Abbey Gittings(Walmley), Lauren Taylor (Rugby), Charlotte Dalton (Ladbrook Park), Elizabeth Haycock (Moseley but affiliated to Warwicks), Hannah Coles (Maxstoke) and Lisa Barton (Coventry).
- Pat Hale wins the 2009 Veronica Anstey
The 2009 Veronica Anstey Competition, held at Nuneaton Golf Club on Monday 15th June was delayed by thunder storms but after an hours wait, the final 3 groups made it back onto the course to complete their rounds. None of the last 6 players however could match the score already posted in the clubhouse by ex County Captain Pat Hale from Edgbaston Golf Club, who recorded the best round of the day in both Gross and Nett categories with 74 Gross - 67 Nett.
