Win One for 2007 - but its damm close!
Warwickshire Boys vs Worcestershire Boys - away at Blackwell GC - Sunday 6th April. After the 7-1 win over Worcs in the 4 Counties a couple of weeks ago, their Boys team had a big incentive to put a huge dent in the Warwickshire Boys hopes for the Midland League and to start their own season with a win. This match was close, very close, but Chris Freeman (playing in his first U18s Boys match) played the crucial golf that gave us the win.

Warwickshire Seniors Trials 2007
Monday 23rd April 2007 - Moor Hall GC - New Seniors Captain Geoff Tatton gathered together 40 of Warwickshire's best Senior golfers for a pre-season trial to help him with team selection for what is, as ever, a busy year for our O55s. Having watched virtually every other Union fixture being played in glorious Spring sunshine, Geoff had remarked in his invitational letter that he hoped the trialists would enjoy good weather to show off their golfing prowess. Your Seniors Captain was somewhat disappointed with the weather but not with the caliber of play on what was a pretty dank and miserable day.
The Magnificent Seventh comes from our Eight
2007 4 Counties - Enville GC - Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd April. Winning again and again is tough. The pressures of records become greater as the records grow longer. Six consecutive wins in the four Counties could only serve to inspire our three County competitors to be the team which breaks the record of Warwickshire wins, whilst asking our Junior golfers to match some very impressive past year's performances. 2007 would not be the year to end the record, only to continue it.

The iconic floating green will once again attract much interest, but it has been revamped to provide an even more exciting and unique experience.
