    Copt Heath GC - Thursday 12th February. WUGC President John Duncombe gave a warm welcome to a substantial representation of the Junior Organiser of the 51 Union Clubs. Our President started with his own thoughts on the Juniors coming second in the English Championships, in part due to the County infrastructure, and just as importantly the work done by Club Junior Organisers - 'We are hugely grateful for the work done'

    Friday 28th November 2008 - Copt Heath Golf Club - President John Duncombe welcomed 190 guests to this year's Annual Dinner, with Guest of Honour Roy Case, President of the English Golf Union. It was an evening when our Country celebrated success which was so close to being outstanding.

    Midland League 2008 - M5 for the 1sts - Handsworth GC - Sunday 26th October - The arget was a minimum of a 12-3 win, if the Midland League title was to return to 'Bear Country' . That was always going to be difficult and our final opponents Derbyshire were in no mood to make lfie easy. That showed in the morning foursomes result.
