- COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS - DAY 2
The top 16 qualifiers set off this morning at 10 minute intervals from 9.00 a.m. and some of the matches in this knockout format were expected to be close. With the Warwickshire County Captain and President out in their buggies watching the matches and assessing how their county players were performing, I am sure they were not disappointed.

The two semi finals set off this morning and we were hoping for two good closely competed matches to ensue. We were not disappointed.

The day dawned fair at Copt Heath Golf Club, the venue for the 2010 County Championships and Silver Division Medal. The course looked good and we were set for a good day's play.

Warwickshire County Championships and Silver Division Medal are to be played at Copt Heath Golf Club on the morning of Wednesday 5th May, with the 2nd Round of the County Championships following on in the afternoon.

At 1.30pm, on a rather cool and very blustery day, Abbey Gittings (Walmley) teed off to defend her title as Warwickshire County Champion against Elizabeth Galland (The Warwickshire).
